Early stages of prep

So I finally got into tearing into the car a bit. First plan of attack was pulling the drivetrain to start prepping the body. Took a day aside for paperwork and downtime, and started on the car early to have it out in one day.

The old M10-

Earlier in the week i had been going out after work, and soaking any bolts I thought would give me trouble. And it turned out to be a good idea. Once all the wiring was out of the way the bolts starting coming out like buttah.

First pulled the exhaust manifold out, along with the entire exhaust.

Everything else un-bolted fairly easy, and out she comes..

No real jacking hooks on this motor, so i reluctantly pulled the front side by the alternator bracket.

Until it was out, then I could grab it from the bellhousing.

Next was pulling out the driveshaft, and diff. Which I wasn't able to take any pictures of.... Because my mini-me basically stole the show.

Pushed me to the side, saying "i got this"

Good thing! cut my work in 1/2!

Hope you guys like rust! stay tuned
